Play Sonic Surf
Although it blends in with the screen, you start this game by pressing the light blue Play text. You'll hit the water right away, so be ready to go.
You have to focus on three things in this game. The first is collecting golden rings. The second is avoiding rocks. You can do both of these tasks by controlling Sonic with the up and down arrow keys.
Hitting a rock after you've collected golden rings will cause you to lose all of them. Hitting a rock with no golden rings will bring your game to an end.
The other task is inflicting damage on Eggman. You can press the right arrow key to speed up to him. You can then hit the spacebar to jump and hit him. Just make sure you watch out for upcoming rocks since you can't jump over them!
