Sonic does have the ability to overcome this opponent. However, it requires at least four turns and Sonic taking advantage of a specific magic option.
If you're able to bring down this evil robot, Sonic will demand answers from Doctor Eggman. The malicious Doctor will finally respond that his plan is coming along nicely.
After Eggman reveals his Sonaw creation, Sonic informs him that it's a terrible idea. Sonic believes that this creation is so powerful it will backfire and lead to the Doctor's demise.
The power of the Sonaw is demonstrated when it leaves Sonic dazed and confused. This confusion then leads to a very interesting twist in Sonic's perception of his own identity.
The intensity of this storyline continues to build when Shadow and Knuckles arrive. The biggest event of all then takes place...
