Sonic immediately tells the True Guardian he can forget about a simple resolution to this meeting. He instead pulls out his sword to do battle.
Before you get to face off with the True Guardian, the story shifts to Knuckles and Tails. The two are surprised they haven't seen Sonic or Shadow. The pair is then ambushed by an unpleasant opponent. It's up to you to help Knuckles defeat this opponent in battle. While a twist takes place during the course of this battle, that doesn't mean you'll get off without a hard fight.
If you're able to guide Knuckles and Tails to victory, you'll resume Sonic's epic battle against the True Guardian. What happens next may be enough to make your jaw drop!
